WOULD WE RECOMMEND?

IQOS 3.0 Multi has two distinct features that sets it apart from other IQOS devices. Firstly, 3.0 Multi is an integrated device meaning that both the holder and the pocket charger in one compact device, unlike previous models which have separate holders and pocket chargers. Secondly, the device is multi-use meaning it can be used numerous times before needing to be charged (our test users got 14 consecutive uses).

This makes the IQOS 3.0 Multi perfect for anyone who wants a less bulky and less time consuming device. Everything is controlled by the power button. For new users we feel this is helpful, as it reduces confusion, however for individuals accustomed to older IQOS models, it may take time to learn how to interact with this new device. The only complaint we had is that if 3.0 Multi does have an issue, it’s nearly impossible to tell what it is since all you have to work with is a control button and LED indicator lights. Every so often our test device seemed to lock, even though there is no mention of a locking feature. This often happened if we accidentally clicked the control button more than once. The charge indicator lights would come on and stay on. It took some fiddling to get them to turn off – often we had to open and close the cap a couple times or press and hold the control button until the device reset, as indicated by all device lights flashing at the same time.

QUALITY: Lightweight, it doesn’t feel quite as sturdy as other IQOS devices, remember to be gentle with the blade

DESIGN: The IQOS 3.0 Multi design is drastically different from previous IQOS models. The device is rectangular in shape with new features such as the swivel top and two LED indicator lights. Unfortunately, IQOS 3.0 Multi does not offer temperature adjustment or a self-cleaning function.

UNBOXING

In you 3.0 Multi kit, you’ll find the device, the manual, a USB cable, a USB adaptor, a cleaning tool, and cleaning sticks.

When you get your kit, check to see whether the device is charged by looking at the lights located on the bottom of the device. If all 4 lights are lit the device has 100%-75% charge remaining. If 3 lights are lit it has 75%-50% remaining. 2 means 50%-25% charge remaining. And 1 light lit means 25%-0%. If you need to charge the device, connect it to a power source. Full charging will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once the device is fully charged and ready for use, the charge indicator lights will glow green.

HOW TO USE

Now you’re ready to use your device;

1. Gently insert a HeatStick into the device
2. Press and hold the holder control button
3. LED light flashes and device vibrates
   • Heating takes 20 seconds
4. When device is ready to use light turns solid
   • cycle length is 6 minutes or 14 puffs
5. Warning vibration 30 seconds before cycle ends
6. Device powers off, LED lights turn off
7. Push up cap and remove HeatStick

Since this is a multi-use device, you can start another cycle as soon as your first cycle ends. After approximately 14 uses the device must be charged again.

For optimal performance, IQOS 3.0 Multi should be cleaned regularly. Just like the other IQOS kits, a cleaning brush and cleaning sticks are included in the 3.0 Multi kit. To use the cleaning brush just lower it into the  HeatSticks heating chamber and gently rotate it to remove built-up grime. Use the cleaning sticks, to wipe away any leftover residue.

HEATSTICKS OVERVIEW

IQOS’ brand of HeatSticks is called HEETS. HEETS are specifically designed for IQOS HnB products holder device. Each HEET consists of 18 milligrams of nicotine. Users report that the tobacco taste is very strong because of this. Due to such several users have commented that, despite which label, IQOS flavors have a more noticeable nicotine taste than vape flavors. TIPS & TRICKS

• Philip Morris International (PMI), the IQOS manufacturer, is spending a lot of money keeping its new and existing customers happy. If you encounter any problems with your IQOS devices do not hesitate to reach out to them by calling their customer service support line. The phone number, corresponding to country of purchase, is located on the side of the box. There is no guaranteed course of action, however the company does prize customer satisfaction. They did replace one of our products for free, which amazed us as it was a broken blade in an older device without a receipt. They simply scanted the bar code and give us a brand new device. I would not expect this to happen all the time but it is worth bring up.
• In some countries PMI offers free cleaning of the product by simply visiting an official IQOS store.
• If you find cleaning tedious, check out automatic cleaning devices, like HNBC or Elio.
• You get more bang for your buck if you buy the full IQOS kit, rather than the device alone. If you buy directly from IQOS, there are often deals and sometimes you can even trade in your old device for a discount on your new device.
