The thing that really impressed us about SLS CP is the quality. It is obviously well-made. And for only $33USD, it is well worth it. Now that being said, we wouldn’t recommend this device to frequent HnB users, as it only supports 10 consecutive uses. Instead, SLS CP is better suited to casual users, new users, or someone who wants an inexpensive, but reliable, backup device. For these types of users, SLS CP would work well!

The only complaint we had was that the device smells a bit on the first use. We’d recommend letting it run once or twice without a HeatStick, just to burn off that newly-released-from-the-factory smell.

QUALITY: Seems solid, the blade might be a bit fragile though as it is a flat blade.

DESIGN: Unique design. Very comfortable to hold.

In your SLS CP kit you will find; the device, the manual, a warranty card, a USB cable, a cleaning brush, and cleaning sticks.

Once you’ve unboxed your CP kit, you’ll want to check the charge. To do so, unlock your device by clicking the control button 5 times. The LED indicator light will flash red, green, and blue. Now check the charge by clicking the control button once. The color of the LED indicator light will show the percent of charge remaining. Blue means full charge, green is medium charge, and red indicates little to no charge remaining. If needed, connect your device to a power source via the USB cable. Charging takes approximately 1.5 hours.

HOW TO USE

Now that your SLS CP device is charged, you can begin using it. Here’s how;

1. Unlock
   • click control button 5 times
   • light flashes red, green, and blue
2. Insert the HeatStick
3. Press and hold the control button to turn on
4. Device will vibrate and light will begin flashing to show heating has started
   • heating takes approximately 25 seconds
5. Device will vibrate and light will turn solid when heating is done and device is ready to use
   • cycle lasts 4.5 minutes or 13 puffs
6. Device will vibrate and light will turn off when cycle ends
7. Remove HeatStick by pushing HeatStick eject button up and pulling HeatStick out

To keep the device in good condition you should clean it regularly. SLS CP has an automatic-cleaning function. To activate it, click the control button 3 times. The device will vibrate and the LED indicator light will flash blue. Self-cleaning lasts 1 minute and 30 seconds.

You’ll also want to manually clean the device. To do this, gently insert the cleaning sticks or cleaning brush into the HeatSticks heating chamber and brush or wipe away any grime. Be careful not to use force around the blade.

HEATSTICKS OVERVIEW

The SLS brand does not produce their own HeatSticks. Instead, their devices are designed to work with other branded HeatSticks, such as HEETS and Marlboro for IQOS HeatSticks.
