I mean it’s not the worst device ever, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it. It only gives you 15 consecutive uses. Generally, it’s a bit fragile and the quality’s not the best. For instance, the manual claims there is an automatic-cleaning feature but we never actually got it to work.
Sandy YD 628 is kind of like a cheap alternative to HiTaste P6. For only a minimal price difference, you’re better off upgrading to HiTaste.
FEATURES: Temperature adjustment, automatic-cleaning.
QUALITY: Eh. It’s not the best. Some features didn’t work, the device isn’t super powerful, and it feels a bit fragile.

In your Sandy YD 628 kit you will find; the device, the manual, a Quality Control card, a USB cable, and a cleaning brush.
Before using the device, check to make sure it’s fully charged. To do this, just click the control button once. The screen will light up and you will be able to see the battery icon. If the battery isn’t full, connect the device to a power source via the USB cable. Charging should take approximately 1.5 hours.
HOW TO USE
Once the device is fully charged, you can start your first cycle.. Here’s how;

- Insert the HeatStick
- Press and hold control button to turn on
- Device will vibrate and ‘HEATING’ flashes on screen
- heating takes approximately 10 seconds
- Set temperature
- click + or – buttons while device is heating
- temperature ranges from 270°C/ 518°F to 335°C/ 662°F
- Device will vibrate and temperature shows on screen
- cycle lasts 4 minutes
- Device will give warning vibration before turning off
- Second vibration when cycle ends
- Remove HeatStick by pushing cap up, twisting the HeatStick, and pulling HeatStick out
Cleaning this device should be easy as the manufacturer claims it has an automatic-cleaning feature, but we never got this feature to work. Apparently when you click the control button 4 times the device will go into cleaning mode, but it wouldn’t work for us. We tried playing around with it so see if maybe it would work if we clicked 5 times instead of 4, etc., but no luck. I’m guessing this is a manufacturer defect?
Without the automatic-cleaning we relied on manual cleaning. To manually clean the device, wait until cool, remove the cap, remove the heating chamber insert, and use the cleaning brush to sweep away any grime that’s around the heating chamber.
