The Basics About This Device
Finally! We’ve been waiting to test this little device for ages! I originally ordered this back in June, the package got lost (no fault of the manufacturer), it had to be tracked down, refunded, reordered, and reshipped, but finally it’s arrived!

The reason why I’m so excited about Anlerr G1 is that it is one of the only Heat-Not-Burn devices on the market that works exclusively with GLO Neo and NeoStiks. Most HnB devices are designed to be compatible with HEETS. Some devices are even able to work with a combination of HEETS, Fiit, and/or Mevius, since they are all relatively similar in design, size, and shape. But these devices almost always use a blade to pierce the HeatStick and heat the tobacco from within the HeatStick. GLO Neo and NeoStiks are long, slim, and don’t work very well with heated blades. Instead, Neo and NeoStiks were designed to be heated from outside, in what is known as a coil heating chamber. That’s why when you clean your GLO device, you can push the cleaning brush right through the length of the device, because the heating does not come from one area (e.g. a heated blade) it comes from every side of the HeatSticks heating chamber. Anlerr has this same coil heating chamber design, just like the official GLO device.
Heated Blade Heated Coil
Now you all know how much we here at Heat180 love GLO. It’s a brand that consistently delivers sturdy, reliable devices, no matter what model you get. We wanted to test Anlerr because we were curious to know whether GLO alternatives would be as good as the real thing. We were also dying to know whether the actual “smoking” experience would be as satisfying.
Don’t forget to clean the device often to keep it clean and working well. Anlerr is pretty easy to clean – all you have to do is open the HeatSticks heating chamber from both ends – then push the cleaning brush through a couple times. Since it’s so easy we recommend cleaning every few days, depending on how dirty the heating chamber gets.
Our Thoughts on This Device
Anlerr G1 offers a good experience! The taste of Neo/ the NeoStiks comes through well and is satisfying. Would we say that this offers just as good an experience as the official GLO devices? Personally, I wouldn’t say so, but it’s close.
Because Anlerr’s design is so similar to GLO, it’s just as easy to clean and pretty easy to operate. The big difference comes in where the design differs. Anlerr has added some features, such as temperature adjustment and an LED display screen. I wonder if these features use up alot of battery power because Anlerr doesn’t last as long as GLO does. With the two full-size GLO devices you get, on average, about 43-45 uses. With Anlerr you only get 25. This is still a high amount and could easily last you all day, but it’s nice to know you have more if you need them.
Additionally, Anlerr takes long to charge than GLO, despite not offering as many consecutive uses! Anlerr takes approximately a half hour longer to fully charge. Anlerr it has a li-ion battery with 2200 mAh. GLO doesn’t make public what type of battery it has. One weird thing I noticed with Anlerr is that when charging finished, the battery icon on the screen looked full, but as soon as the device was unplugged the icon wasn’t full anymore. I don’t know whether this was just a glitch with the screen or whether the battery couldn’t hold full charge for long? Regardless, the device still offered a higher number of uses than most devices do and charges in a reasonable amount of time.
One thing we do think Anlerr made better than GLO is the device weight. Anlerr is surprisingly lightweight, weighing only 84g, and even that number seems too heavy compared to how the device feels. This makes Anlerr super easy to carry with you!
Overall, Anlerr is a good alternative to GLO, especially considering it is the first one developed. I wouldn’t rule it out, as everybody is looking for different things in their devices. For some people temperature adjustment might be necessary, for others maybe they need a small, light device for travel, others may be savvy spenders (Anlerr is a bargain for only $39USD!). For me, I still like the official GLO devices, but would happily use Anlerr if I needed an alternative!

Unboxing & How to Use

In your Anlerr G1 kit you will find the device, the manual, a USB cable, a cleaning brush, and cleaning sticks.
Before using the device you’re going to want to charge it, by connecting the USB cable to the device and then a power source. You’ll know when the device is full by looking at the little battery icon on the display screen.
Once fully charged, you can turn on the device by pressing and holding the control button. The device will vibrate and the LED indicator light will start flashing when the heating process has begun. This will take approximately, 27 seconds, which does seem a bit long compared to most HnB devices – like HiTaste P5 that heats in only 10 seconds – but is still less time than any of the GLO devices take to heat.
When the heating is over, the device will vibrate again and the LED light will turn solid blue. The cycle will last for 3 minutes, 57 seconds, and then the device will vibrate one final time and the LED light and screen will turn off. Since Anlerr G1 is a multi-use device, you can start another cycle immediately after the first has ended.

George from the heat180 community –
It doesn’t give you as many uses as the original GLO device but it’s okay. It’s the only GLO alternative available on the market and sells for a pretty reasonable price
