We really liked Mysmok Ismod II Plus. We think the design is innovative and solves of the major issues that IQOS had with their earlier devices, which is number of cycles you get before needing to charge. Ismod II Plus offers 28 consecutive uses, and you can even get 2 uses with one holder before needing to charge that holder.

We were impressed by the strength of the magnet that keeps the holders in place in the pocket charger. If you leave the holder 2 inches or closer to the pocket charger, it will be pulled in automatically by the magnet’s strength. Even though the holders are on the outside of the device and not in a charging chamber like with IQOS devices, I’m certain that the holders would not fall off. The magnet is so strong that it’s even a bit tricky to get the holders out of the pocket charger at points. We found that the best technique was to press your thumb and index finger on either side of the holder, while in the pocket charger, then sort of roll it out to break the magnetic grip.

There are a few things we don’t love about this device though. For one you must have both holders in the pocket charger for it to work. What happens if you want to charge one holder, while using the other? What happens if you ever lose or break one of the holders? This isn’t really an issue, just something we’d like to see improved upon for future Mysmok devices.

The second issue is price. $85USD is alot for a device that is made by a small Heat-not-Burn manufacturer. Mysmok Ismod II Plus definitely is a good-quality device, but still…

In your MySmok Ismod II Plus kit you will find; the pocket charger, the holder, the manual, a warranty card, a USB cable, a cleaning brush, and cleaning sticks.

Once you’ve opened your device it’s time to check the charge. With both holders in the pocket charger, click on the pocket charger control button. The LED indicator lights above the control button will light up. There are 3 lights and the number of lights lit will indicate the level of charge. If all 3 are lit, there is 100-60% charge remaining, if 2 are lit, there is 30-60% charge, and if only 1 is lit then there is less than 30% charge remaining. If you need to charge your device, just make sure the holders are in the pocket charger, then connect the whole device to a power source via the USB cable. Charging takes 3 hours, 45 minutes.

NOTE* When you press the pocket charger control button you will also notice that there are two lights on either side of the control button. These are the holder charge indicator lights. They will show whether the holders are charged or need charge. A solid blue light means the holder is charged and ready to be used, a flashing red light mean the holder is currently charging.

HOW TO USE

Now that your pocket charger and holders are charged, you can start using the device. Here’s how;

1. Remove one of the holders from the pocket charger
2. Insert the HeatStick
3. Press and hold holder control button to turn on
4. Holder will vibrate and light will begin flashing to show heating has started
   • heating takes approximately 15 seconds
5. Holder will vibrate and light will turn solid when heating is done and device is ready to use
   • cycle lasts 4 minutes, 20 seconds or 14 puffs
6. Holder will give warning vibration and light starts flashing before turning off
7. Holder will vibrate and light will turn off when cycle ends
8. Remove HeatStick

NOTE* You can get 2.5 cycles out of one holder before needing to charge it. Simply wait for the cycle to end completely, then press and hold the holder control button again so begin another cycle. When you’re satisfied, simply place the holder back into the pocket charger and wait for it to charge.

To maintain a healthy device, make sure to clean it regularly. To do so, insert the cleaning brush or a cleaning stick into the holder heating chamber and gently wipe away grime.

HEATSTICKS OVERVIEW

The MySmok brand does not produce their own HeatSticks. Instead, their devices are designed to work with other branded HeatSticks, such as HEETS and Marlboro for IQOS HeatSticks.
