KNB Solid, sometimes also called KNB K15, is an alternative to Lil Solid Plus. The design and features of the two devices are almost exactly the same. The big difference is price point and availability. Lil Solid Plus usually sells for over $100USD and is quite difficult to obtain if you don’t live in Japan. Whereas KNB Solid sells for only $44USD and is easily accessible on AliExpress.

As for which device is better, there are pros and cons to both. Lil Solid Plus offers more consecutive uses (38 versus KNB Solid’s 12-15) and it also offers a warranty. We also find that the light on Lil Solid Plus is a bit better quality. With the KNB Solid device the light can be quite difficult to see when you are outside or in a brightly lit room. However, as we said above, Lil Solid Plus is alot more expensive than KNB Solid and much more difficult to purchase online. If you are looking for an inexpensive alternative to Lil, then KNB Solid is an okay choice.

QUALITY: Seems on par with Lil Solid Plus, except for the LED light. The light was not powerful enough and could not be seen easily when outside.

In your KNB Solid kit you will find; the device, the manual, a USB cable, and cleaning sticks.

Once you’ve unboxed your device, you’ll want to check its charge by clicking on the control button once. The color of the light indicates the level of charge is remaining. White means the device has 100%-20% charge remaining, green means 20%-5%, and orange means 5%-0% remaining. If your device needs to be charged, just connect it to a power source via the USB cable. Charging takes approximately 2 hours, 10 minutes.

HOW TO USE

When you’re ready to use your KNB Solid device;

1. Insert HeatStick
2. Press and hold control button to turn on
3. Vibrate and light flashes when heating
4. Vibrate and light turns solid when heating is done
5. Warning vibration and light flashes 30 seconds before the end of the cycle
6. Light turns off when cycle ends
7. Remove HeatStick by lifting twisting it in the heating chamber, then lifting the cap and pulling the HeatStick out

Just like Lil Solid Plus, KNB Solid offers automatic-cleaning. To activate the automatic cleaning, click the control button 5 times. The light will begin flashing green. Automatic-cleaning takes approximately 1 minute, 30 seconds.

Even though the automatic cleaning is super easy to use, the manufacturer also recommends that you manually clean every 30 HeatSticks. To do so, just wait until device is cool, remove cap, insert a cleaning stick into the heating chamber and use the cleaning stick to wipe away any grime.

HEATSTICKS OVERVIEW

The KNB brand does not produce their own HeatSticks. Instead, their devices are designed to work with other branded HeatSticks, such as HEETS and Marlboro for IQOS HeatSticks.
