Gippro SW-2 is a steal for only $15USD! It is a simple device, offering only automatic-cleaning, but it would still be good for new users, casual users, or people who don’t want any extras on their device. We loved that you can switch out the blade. We also liked that it charges in just 1.5 hours.
FEATURES: Automatic-cleaning.
QUALITY: Well-built and sturdy, but still lightweight.
DESIGN: Very slim and easy to carry. Design is similar to a vape pen. We love that you can switch out the blade. If your blade ever breaks, you just have to buy a replacement, rather than buy a whole new device.
UNBOXING
In your Gippro SW-2 kit you will find; the device, the manual, other documents, a USB cable, cleaning sticks, a cleaning pick, a device cover, and elastics (purpose unknown).
Once you’ve unboxed your device, you can check it’s charge by clicking on the control button once. The color of the light shows the amount of charge remaining. White indicates that 100-60% charge is remaining, blue means 60%-30%, and red is 30%-0%. If you need to charge your device, connect it to a power source via the USB cable. Charging takes 1.5 hours.
HOW TO USE
Once your Gippro SW-2 device is fully charged, you can use it by following the steps below;
- Insert the HeatStick
- Click control button 5 times to turn on
- Device will vibrate and light will begin flashing to show heating has started
- heating takes approximately 10 seconds
- Device will vibrate and light will turn solid when heating is done and device is ready to use
- cycle lasts 3 minutes
- Device will vibrate and lights turn off when cycle ends
- Remove HeatStick
Gippro SW-2 has an automatic-cleaning function, but it’s a bit different from what we’ve seen with other HnB devices. With Gippro, there is a small button located next to the USB port. When you insert the cleaning pick into the button, it will reset the device, while also heating the device so that any grime in the heating chamber is burnt off. The LED indicator light will flash white while this takes place. We recommend doing this often, but maybe not every day since the cleaning also resets the device. We’re not sure if continuously resetting the device is healthy as we’ve never heard of that before.
You’ll want to also clean the device manually. To do so, remove the cap from the body of the device, then unscrew the blade insert. With a cleaning stick, gently wipe away all grime and tobacco residue.
HEATSTICKS OVERVIEW
The Gippro brand does not produce their own HeatSticks. Instead, their devices are designed to work with other branded HeatSticks, such as HEETS and Marlboro for IQOS HeatSticks.

WARRANTY
there is supposed to a warranty card included in the kit. We think this might be the ‘Other Documents’ we reference in the section above, but unfortunately these documents are only provided in Japanese. We do not speak Japanese and, turns out, it’s quite difficult to translate Japanese character by character. If you are fluent in Japanese, please let us know!
